Judy Collins

Judy has been creating beauty for as long as she can remember. From the time she first discovered the joy of drawing with a crayon at three years old, she knew she wanted to be an artist. Before long, that same creative passion found expression through music, especially singing. Growing up in a musical family, Judy enjoyed making music with relatives at family gatherings, where guitars, voices, and rich harmonies filled the room. Whether working with paint or voices, she has always believed that the perfect blend creates something beautiful. Her musical influences are wonderfully diverse, ranging from Doris Day and Barbra Streisand to Claude Debussy, Kansas City jazz, Les Paul, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. While she enjoys writing the occasional lighthearted poem, her greatest passion is writing songs of praise and worship that point others to Jesus Christ, her Creator and Redeemer. Alongside her songwriting, Judy has enjoyed a lifelong career as a professional artist, creating everything from commissioned paintings and church murals to unique works of art for homes and businesses. Today, she continues to paint glimpses of God's magnificent creation while enjoying the blessings of her son, daughter, and two beautiful granddaughters.
